Digestate, RENURE and Nutrient Planning

Register for an evening webinar covering digestate, RENURE, nutrient planning and the Killough supplier programme, with time for your questions.

Climaticus, working with Roadstone, is convening this webinar as part of its research and knowledge-transfer work on digestate, RENURE, nutrient planning and the Killough supplier programme.

Digestate and fertiliser replacement

Digestate is the nutrient-rich material left after anaerobic digestion. It is spread on land in place of chemical fertiliser. Digestion breaks down the compounds that cause slurry odour before the material ever reaches the land, and precisely timed application cuts nitrogen loss to waterways. Digestate also returns organic carbon to the soil, supporting soil health.

RENURE

RENURE stands for Recovered Nitrogen from Manure. It is a new EU fertiliser category that lets processed manure and digestate count like mineral fertiliser above the standard organic nitrogen limit. This is one of the reasons digestate can replace bought-in fertiliser on farm.

Nutrient planning

The webinar will cover how nutrient planning fits your land, and how digestate application can be approached in practice across the year. The session is grounded and farmer-facing, working through what the numbers mean on the ground rather than in the abstract.

Supplier programme

The webinar will also cover how the supplier programme pays for feedstock at Killough. Farmers interested in supplying slurry, solids or other feedstocks can register their interest below and we will talk it through with you directly.

Community of Practice

Registered suppliers will have access to the Climaticus Community of Practice once it launches. It is intended as a shared space to exchange practical experience with digestate application, nutrient planning, regenerative farming, and the carbon credit opportunities opening up as EU and Irish carbon farming frameworks develop. It is under development and is being shaped with potential partners.

Research group

Climaticus is setting up a research group where registered suppliers can take part in studies on resilient farming. This will cover digestate application, nutrient planning and regenerative practice as the programme develops.

Register your interest

Registered farmers will receive first notice of the date, a link to join, and updates on the Community of Practice once it launches.

By registering, you agree that Killough can contact you about the webinar and the supplier programme. We do not share your details outside Climaticus and Roadstone.

Questions before you register? Add them in the notes field above and we'll answer them when we confirm your place.
